[She says the name carefully, as if she's not sure she can pronounce it right.]

She's happy 'n nice.

She is nice! I'm glad you met her.

[Nod nod! Yes, the ribbons! How do they not get all tangled up? It's so unusual.]

How long d'you know her?

Mngh...[Oh great, a length of time question. He's not so great at those.]

Knew her on Pandora, don't remember how long. Months, maybe? Maybe a year...[Handsome Jack hadn't been killed in a day, after all. Unfortunately.] And she's been with me since she got here. [He pauses, squints off into the near distance briefly as he thinks back to a conversation he had with her just recently, then returns his gaze to Thida.] Five months!

[So...He's known her for a while, now. 8)]

[The absolute amazement in her expression can't be denied. FRIENDS FROM HOME...what is it even like to have a friend back home...]

Yeah! She came here after me, and I went to get her. She's been with me since then!

[He doesn't miss the amazement in Thida's expression, though, and his own enthusiasm for the subject quiets somewhat as he tilts his head to regard her.]

There aren't any other squid kids from yours?

[She shakes her head.] No. But, wouldn't know 'em anyways.

[Inkopolis was so big, so full of kids she'd played with and against...there might be a few faces she'd recognize, but the chances of anyone like that coming are slim to none.]
