He brings the 'Gear right up to his face when she removes her hands from hers, wanting to see for himself that he hadn't actually made her cry, and then slumps a little, lowering the device back to his lap again once he's had a good look and seen no tears.]

[He grumbles wordlessly and fidgets heavily once she poses her question, his gaze dropping to one side as he struggles to come up with the words he needs to answer her. After several long moments his grumble grows into a frustrated whine before he finally shakes his head - fast and hard - and returns his eyes to the 'Gear's screen.]
